Renovation of the Calafell urban bus fleet
Calafell's urban transport incorporates two new buses with more and better accessibility features than the current ones that provided service.
The buses have a greater occupancy capacity, becoming 75 seats, are equipped with larger and more comfortable seats, and have a USB connection in all seats.
The best accessibility features are on the lowest platform of the buses, which makes getting on and off much easier. The doors are wider, which considerably improves access for people with reduced mobility and makes the flow of people more agile and comfortable. The area for people with reduced mobility has the most appropriate floor for their needs and the fastening system is easy to use.
These Iveco buses have a Euro6 motorization, which guarantees that the levels of emissions in the atmosphere are low, so they are a great bet to help respect the environment. They also have a breakdown warning system. Sensors make it possible to detect possible failures before they occur, thus reducing incidents to practically zero.
These improvements to the fleet began in February, incorporating a new vehicle on the L3 line. With all this, Calafell's urban transport is working on all its lines with Euro6 motorization, contributing to a lower emission of gases and offering accessibility adapted to all people.
