HIFE deploys up to 23 buses simultaneously during the Aragon GP at MotorLand
HIFE deployed one of its major special transport operations in Aragon between August 28th and 30th for the Michelin® Aragon Grand Prix at MotorLand. Over three days, the company progressively increased its services, reaching a peak of 23 buses operating simultaneously on the shuttle routes between Alcañiz and the circuit on Sunday.
The operation began on Friday with two buses running shuttles throughout the day and two other vehicles providing urban service during the night.
With the increased demand, the operation saw a significant expansion on Saturday: 15 buses operated simultaneously throughout the morning on the Alcañiz–MotorLand route, running approximately every 20 minutes. Services continued into the afternoon and extended into the early hours of Sunday morning.
The busiest day was Sunday. 23 buses operated simultaneously to handle the high volume of journeys to and from MotorLand, allowing for a shuttle service every 10 minutes.
“These are days when you have to move a lot of people in a very short time, and that's where the importance of having everything well coordinated becomes clear. Getting 23 buses running at the same time requires a lot of planning and, above all, a great deal of work from the drivers and the team behind the operation,” explains Pablo Roldán, director of HIFE in Aragon.
This deployment was complemented on Saturday and Sunday by two buses operating continuously between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. within MotorLand, connecting grandstands, parking areas, and circuit access points. In addition, HIFE launched special services from Zaragoza and Barcelona to MotorLand, extending the service beyond Alcañiz and offering a public transport alternative for traveling directly to the Grand Prix.
The result was virtually uninterrupted operation throughout the weekend, combining shuttles, night services, internal mobility and intercity connections, and concentrating more than twenty vehicles working at the same time during peak demand.
