Ulldecona will have a new Sunday afternoon bus connection to Barcelona and Tarragona
The company HIFE will launch a new bus service on Sunday afternoons between Amposta and Ulldecona to facilitate connections for passengers with the lines linking to Barcelona and Tarragona. The service will begin operating this Sunday, March 8.
This new service responds to a request made by the Ulldecona City Council to improve the municipality’s connections on Sunday afternoons, especially for students and workers returning to their places of study or work after the weekend.
The service will depart from Amposta Station at 5:45 p.m., stopping in Masdenverge (5:55 p.m.), Santa Bàrbara (6:00 p.m.) and Freginals (6:10 p.m.), arriving in Ulldecona at 6:25 p.m.
Afterwards, the bus will make the return journey departing from Ulldecona at 6:35 p.m., stopping in Freginals (6:50 p.m.), Santa Bàrbara (7:00 p.m.) and Masdenverge (7:10 p.m.), and arriving at Amposta Station at 7:20 p.m.
This schedule will allow passengers to transfer to bus services to Barcelona (7:35 p.m.) and Tarragona (7:40 p.m.) from Amposta Station, thus facilitating connections with these cities.
The launch of this service has been coordinated with the relevant administrations and with the collaboration of the Government of Catalonia, through the Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition, with the aim of strengthening territorial connectivity and improving public transport options in the Terres de l’Ebre.
