Summer Youth 2026 at HIFE

Thanks to the Summer Youth 2026 program promoted by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, young people between 18 and 30 years old will be able to benefit from significant discounts on their journeys during the summer.

Registration to obtain the Registration Code will be available from June 17, 2026. Discounts will be applicable to trips taken between July 1 and September 30, 2026.

Important before buying your first ticket

• Registration with the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility must be completed at least 24 hours before the first ticket is issued.
• Without this prior registration and obtaining the corresponding Registration Code, it will not be possible to benefit from the program's discounts.
• The discounts will only be applicable to regular public road passenger transport services under state jurisdiction operated by HIFE and adhering to the Summer Youth Program 2026.

How to get the discount at HIFE?

Step 1: Register with the Ministry
From June 17, 2026, access the platform enabled by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and complete your registration.

Step 2: Get your Registration Code
Once your information has been verified, you will receive a personal and non-transferable Registration Code.

Step 3: Register at HIFE
To purchase your discounted tickets, you must be registered with HIFE using a valid ID card or NIE.

Step 4: Buy your ticket at HIFE
When making the purchase, you must enter your Registration Code so that the corresponding discount is applied.

Step 5: Travel with a discount
You can benefit from the discount on HIFE's state-run services that are part of the Summer Youth Program 2026.

Who can benefit?

Those eligible for discounts are individuals who meet the following requirements:

• To have been born between January 1, 1996 and December 31, 2008, both inclusive.
• To have Spanish nationality.
• Being a foreigner with legal residence in Spain.

HIFE services included

The discounts will only be applicable to regular public road passenger transport services under state jurisdiction operated by HIFE and adhering to the Summer Youth Program 2026.

Important: Not all services operated by HIFE are included in this measure. The discount can only be applied to those state-run lines and routes that are part of the program.

Discount applicable at HIFE

State-run bus services

• 90% discount on the price of a single ticket.
• 90% discount on the round-trip ticket price.

Terms of use

To ensure the program functions correctly:

• The Registration Code is personal and non-transferable.
• No more than one round-trip booking per day may be made for the same origin and destination with the same operating company, unless the previously booked trip has been completed or cancelled.
• Booking more than one trip per direction for the same origin-destination on the same day with the same concessionary company will be prohibited, unless the booking has been cancelled beforehand.
• To make a new reservation, you will need to cancel the previous one beforehand.
• In order for the Summer Youth discount to be applied correctly at HIFE, the outbound and return tickets must be purchased separately, not in a single purchase transaction.

Misuses and consequences

In accordance with the conditions established by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, the following are considered improper uses:

• Use of the Registration Code by a person other than the beneficiary: the Registration Code is personal and non-transferable and may only be used by the registered beneficiary.
• No cancellation of booked trips: do not cancel a trip that has been formalized when it will not take place, respecting the established cancellation deadlines.
• The company may reduce the minimum cancellation period in accordance with its usual marketing and sales practices.

Consequences

The Ministry may proceed to withdraw the Registration Code from beneficiaries who accumulate more misuses than permitted.

Removing the code will entail:

• The loss of the right to benefit from the program's discounts.
• The inability to re-register to benefit from this measure.
• Furthermore, prior to adopting these measures, the operator will warn of each misuse via SMS or email and will communicate the possible consequences arising from said action.
