MITMA Passes 2026
As of 1 January 2026, the MITMA 2026 Passes of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MITMA) remain in force, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree-Law 17/2025.
These options maintain the same conditions as in 2025, but are explained more clearly to make them easier to understand and to avoid confusion among users.
Types of passes available
1. 10-trip pass (multi-user)
- Discount: 40% off the maximum single-ticket fare.
- How many tickets does it include?
It includes 10 trips, which are deducted as they are used. - Use: Can be used by multiple users.
- Validity: Up to 1 year from the start date of validity.
- Conditions: It is non-nominative and cannot be purchased in parts.
2. Personal monthly pass
- Discount: 50% off the maximum fare.
- How many tickets does it include?
- The price is equivalent to 20 single tickets with a 50% discount, but it allows
- unlimited travel during its validity period.
- Use: Personal and non-transferable.
- Validity: 30 days from the start date of validity.
- Conditions: Only one active monthly pass per person and route is allowed.
3. Youth Pass (ages 16 to 26)
- Discount: 70% off the maximum fare.
- How many tickets does it include?
- The price is equivalent to 20 single tickets with a 70% discount, with unlimited travel during its validity period.
- Use: Personal and non-transferable.
- Eligible beneficiaries: Young people born between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2011.
- Requirements: Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spain.
- Validity: 30 days from the start date of validity.
4. Children’s Pass (up to 14 years)
- Discount: 100% (free of charge).
- How many tickets does it include?
- Unlimited travel throughout the entire validity period.
- Use: Personal and non-transferable.
- Eligible beneficiaries:
- Children born between 1 January 2012 and 31 December 2026.
- Requirements: Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spain.
- Validity: Throughout the year 2026.
5. How to obtain the Youth and Children’s Passes
To access the Youth Pass and the Children’s Pass, prior registration on the website of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is required.
Once registration is completed, the user will receive a personal code that must be presented when purchasing the pass.
This code is:
- Unique
-Nominative
- Valid for interregional bus routes
Use control and regulations
All passes are subject to usage control to prevent fraud or misuse.
The number of discounted passes that a single person may purchase is limited.
Improper use of the pass may result in it being blocked or cancelled, with no right to a refund.
Important:
It is not permitted to reserve more than one trip per direction and route on the same day, unless the reservation has previously been cancelled or the previous trip has been completed (except for the 10-trip pass).
